Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
At Colchester Academy, we believe that every student, regardless of their starting point, is entitled to a high-quality, ambitious education that prepares them not only for academic success but also for life beyond school. This includes the development of their character, resilience, and sense of self-worth, underpinned by our core values of Resilience, Respect, and Excellence.
We are committed to fostering a fully inclusive environment where all students — including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) — are supported to thrive, achieve, and participate in all aspects of Academy life. We recognise and celebrate each student’s individuality and are dedicated to removing barriers so that all learners can access the full curriculum and experience success.
